Appointment Announcement: Amy Barnacle

We are pleased to announce that Amy Elizabeth Barnacle has joined The Andersons Centre as an Environmental Business Consultant.

Amy is from Leicestershire and has a background rooted in the farming sector. She studied at Harper Adams University, where she completed a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Land Management (2020–2024), followed by a Master’s degree in Agroecology. Her postgraduate research examined the viability of solar farms integrated with livestock grazing, considering both the economic and environmental aspects of dual-use systems.

In her role at The Andersons Centre, Amy is involved in:

  • Farm carbon assessments
  • Nutrient management planning
  • Baseline assessments including soil and water sampling, biodiversity audits, and habitat condition reviews

Amy also brings experience from ecological consultancy, with skills in:

  • ESG and sustainability reporting
  • Water and soil quality assessments
  • Habitat condition evaluations
  • Identifying ecosystem services and niche markets to support improved environmental outcomes.
