Welsh Cross Compliance Consultation

May 28, 2014 12:00 am

The Welsh Government have launched a consultation looking at Cross Compliance changes for 2014-2020.  The document suggests that much of the regulation will remain the same.  Some additional proposals have been made including introducing pesticide application buffer zones and automatic penalties for those who were found to be late with TB testing; currently penalties for late testing are applied only to those farmers who are inspected.  The consultation closes on the 18th July and can be viewed at http://wales.gov.uk/consultations/environmentandcountryside/cap-cross-compliance-proposals/?lang=en
