Uplands Transitional Payment (UTP)

The payment rates for the 2013 Uplands Transitional Payments (UTP) have been set.   Upland beef and sheep farmers in England should start receiving the payments shortly

Less Favoured Area Support Scheme (LFASS)

The Scottish Government has started making Less Favoured Area Support Payments (LFASS) from the middle of the month.   Some £56m will be paid out to 10,190 claimants – this is 86% of the total £65.5 funding.  Rates should be the same as were paid last year as payments were fixed for the years 2011 to 2013.  They are set out in the table below.
