Upland beef and sheep farmers in England should start receiving the payments shortly UTP PAYMENT RATES – 2013 Area – Hectares Severely Disadvantaged Land (other than moorland or common land) (£/Ha) Severely Disadvantaged Land (moorland or common land) (£/Ha) 0 – 350 Ha 42.40 16.06 351 – 700 Ha 21.20 8.03 Less Favoured Area Support Scheme (LFASS) The Scottish Government has started making Less Favoured Area Support Payments (LFASS) from the middle of the month. Some £56m will be paid out to 10,190 claimants – this is 86% of the total £65.5 funding. Rates should be the same as were paid last year as payments were fixed for the years 2011 to 2013. They are set out in the table below.
