UK Wood Production May 21, 2014 12:00 am Figures released from the Forestry Commission shows the UK produced 10.9 million green tonnes of softwood in 2013, an 8% increase on the previous year. The value of wood imports totalled £6.7billion, a 5% increase on 2012. Of this around £4.2 billion was from imports of pulp and paper. The UK exported £1.7bn of wood products in 2013.
