UK Farm Balance Sheet

The UK farming industry increased its net worth by almost 6% in the 2014 calendar year according to DEFRA statistics.  As part of the aggregate accounts for the industry that produce the Total Income from Farming (TIFF) figures, a balance sheet is also drawn up.  This shows a big increase in net worth as at December 2014 compared to a year earlier.  Not surprisingly, this is a result of rising land values.  The table below sets out the data;
