Tesco Lamb Contract

Tesco is investigating whether to introduce a cost-of-production pricing model for some of its lamb supply.  This would build on the retailer’s commitments in the dairy sector where the members of its Tesco Sustainable Dairy Group are paid on this basis.  It may be some months before any contract for sheep farmers is released however, as the supermarket is still developing the idea with those in the supply chain.
