Tesco Lamb Contract

Tesco has offered more than 200 British farmers a two year direct contract to help supply the retailer’s Finest range with lamb between April and December.  The contract will include a premium above market price for lamb and is in conjuction with St Merryn who are the retailer’s main processors.  All those entering into the contract will form part of the Tesco Sustainable Lamb Group which aims to strengthen the retailer’s relationship with its farmer suppliers.  The aim is to offer the contract to other suppliers over the coming months.
