Sugar Crop 2013 January 17, 2014 12:00 am British Sugar has announced that it expects the 2013 beet crop to deliver 11% more sugar than 2012. Both sugar content and beet yield are said to be good. The processor is forecasting sugar production of 1.28m tonnes for the current crop against 1.15m tonnes in 2012. It will still be below the 2011 output of 1.32m tonnes however.
