Sow Stall Ban

Twelve months after the rules came into force and twelve years since the agreement was first made, France, Cyprus, Greece and Belgium are still not adhering to the rules governing the welfare of pregnant sows – the ‘sow stall ban’.  The four counties have two months in which to show the Commission they are making an effort to comply with the rules else they could face the EU’s Court of Justice (ECJ).
