Sow Stall ban April 17, 2013 12:00 am The National Pig Association has called for urgent action on countries flouting the sow stall ban, brought in on 1st January 2013. It has estimated that up to 40% of EU pigs are being produced on farms breaching legislation. Just 5 Member States, including the UK, are fully compliant. With Denmark, the biggest exported of pig meat, only managing 85% compliance.
