Scottish Weather Fund Opens May 28, 2013 12:00 am Farmers in Scotland will soon be able to apply for the £6m of emergency aid made available by the Scottish Government. Forms and guidance will be published online on the 3rd June. There is a deadline for applications of 5th July. The aid will be available to both arable and livestock farmers. Applications will be accepted from farmers who have: lost 10% or more breeding ewes/lambs put to the ram/goats reared 20% less lambs/kids in 2013 lost 5% or more other breeding livestock reared 10% less calves/other livestock re-sown 20% or more of an arable crop All applicants will need to be registered with SGRPID and have a Business Reference Number (BRN). There is no limit on payments although payments above and below the EU State Aid de minimis threshold of €7,500 (about £6,350 based on the average exchange rate for May) will require different supporting information.
