Scottish Weather Aid Payments August 27, 2013 12:00 am We wrote about the Scottish Weather Fund in May. This provided £6m of aid to producers affected by the severe winter and spring weather. The Weather Aid Expert group has agreed payments rates for losses under the scheme. These are; £120 per ewe £50 per lamb £1,200 per cow £500 per calf £200 per hectare of agricultural crops A total of 1,063 requests for funding were received, the evidence has been verified and a total of 854 were successful. These farmers are expected to receive payments within weeks. Payments made under the scheme comply with EU State Aid rules.
