Scottish Aid Package

The Scottish Goverment has announced that it will provide an aid package worth £6m to help thefarming industry recover from the effects of the poor weather.  This is in addition to the £500,000 support for fallen stock collections already announced (see earlier posting). 

Details of what the package will cover are not yet known.  The Chief Agricultural Officer Drew Sloan, will develop the details of the recovery package in conjunction with a group of industry experts.  The first meeting will be next week.
