Scotland Farm Advice Service October 4, 2016 12:00 am Scotland has launched its new Farm Advisory Service (FAS). The service is being delivered by SAC Consulting and Ricardo Energy and Environment. A new website is available – http://www.fas.scot/ together with a dedicated phone line 0300 323 0161, offering advice to farmers and crofters. The service covers workshops, network farm meetings, conferences and training courses together with information, tools and apps to assist farmers and crofters, all available from the website. Farmers and crofters can also access up to £2,200 towards an Integrated Land Management Plan (ILMP) – the successor to the Whole Farm Review under the previous SRDP. There is also £500 towards a Carbon Audit. Application forms can be downloaded from the website. The Crofter and Small Farm Advisory Service is also available under the FAS umbrella. This provides a discounted subscription for consultancy services for crofters and small businesses with less than 30 hectares.
