Reminders from the RPA

October 1, 2013 12:00 am

The RPA is reminding SPS claimants to make sure the bank details it holds for them are correct.  2013 Single Payments are due to begin on 1st December, but each year a number of claimants fail to tell the RPA when they have changed their bank details leading to a delay in payments being received.  Payments are paid directly to claimants via BACS transfer.  To update banking details farmers need to complete a Customer Registration form (CReg10).  This can be found at http://rpa.defra.gov.uk/creg.

Furthermore the RPA is reminding claimants to keep their maps up to date and to inform the RPA of any changes to their land.  Permanent ineligible features (PIFs) such as ponds, buildings, tracks with hard surfaces and any boundary changes should be reported when they take place.  Many leave it until they submit their SPS which can mean using incorrect areas.  Changes submitted before Christmas will be processed in time so that next year’s pre-populated SPS information is correct making submission much easier.  Changes should be reported using an RLE1 form which can be downloaded from the RPA website at http://rpa.defra.gov.uk/rpa/index.nsf/vDocView/3FA781235A3F041D8025710D0030CB56?OpenDocument
