Regional Farm Statistics January 23, 2014 12:00 am DEFRA has just published statistics showing data for the agricultural sector in each of the English regions. These are available at – https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/agriculture-in-the-english-regions. Among the figures it can be found that the East of England is the most profitable region, having a regional TIFF of £896m (Yorkshire and Humber is next with £620m). Agriculture is the most important in the South West of England making up 1.26% of the economy (it was only 0.17% in London and and the South East).
