Potato Output 2014

The AHDB (Potato Council) has published its provisional estimate of total GB potato production for 2014.  This is put at 5.71 million tonnes; up 2.3% from 2013.  It states yields are slightly better than last year at 47.2 tonnes per hectare compared to 45.8 tonnes per hectare in 2013.
