Pig Unit Refused

The Environment Agency has rejected an application for an Environmental Permit for a planned large scale pig farm at Foston, Derbyshire.  The EA stated that it could not be satisfied that the activities could be undertaken without resulting in significant pollution of the environment due to odour and ammonia emissions.
