Pig Disease Reaches Europe

The highly virulent Asian-American Porcine Epidemic Diarrhoea virus (PEDv) has been confirmed in Ukraine. The virus, which has wiped out around 10% of the American pig population in the last two years, is highly contagious and British pig producers are urged to ensure a high level of biosecurity is maintained.
