Phase Two of Flood Fund Opens April 24, 2014 12:00 am DEFRA has announced grants of up to £35,000 will be made available to flood hit farmers under Phase Two of the Farm Recovery Fund. Full details of the next phase will not be available until it is launched on 28th April. In the initial round, grants of up to £5,000 were made available – see our article of 26th February /generalpolicy/farming-recovery-funds-opens/. Money has been kept back for Phase Two for those worst hit who needed more time to assess the effects of the floods. Farmers who have already made a claim in the first round of funding will also be allowed to apply under Phase Two, but the total grant from both rounds must not exceed £35,000.
