Oversubscribed Grant Funding November 20, 2015 12:00 am The Countryside Productivity Scheme could be deemed a success by DEFRA even before funding has been granted, but there will be many who are disappointed. The window for the current round of applications closed on the 30th June 2015 and has a budget of £5m. DEFRA has indicated that the scheme was substantially over-subscribed and a large number of applications will not receive any grant funding. Applicants are expected to be informed if they have been successful or not at the end of November. The application window for 2016 is expected to open in the spring; some projects may also be suitable for funding under other sources such as LEADER or the Growth Programme.
