NFU Elections

February 27, 2014 12:00 am

Meurig Raymond will succeed Peter Kendall as President of the NFU.  Mr Raymond, who operates a 3,400 acre mixed farm in Pembrokeshire with his brother, was the clear favourite to win the election held at the Union’s annual conference.  For the first time in the NFU’s 106 year history there will be a woman in the leadership team.  Minette Batters, a beef farmer from Wiltshire, defeated Adam Quinney for the post of Deputy President.  The position of Vice President went to the well-known Guy Smith from Essex.
