New Zealand Milk Price March 22, 2016 12:00 am The latest Global Dairy Trade (GDT) auction on the 15th March saw prices decline again. The index dropped 2.9% to $2,190 per tonne. Faced with continuing weak markets the main New Zealand milk buyer, Fonterra has reduced its estimated payout for the 2015-16 milk year (ending in May). It is now forecast at €3.90 per kg of milk solids. This equates to around 13ppl.
