New Dispute System for Scotland

July 26, 2013 12:00 am

A new system has been developed by the Scottish Agriculutral Arbiters and Valuers Association (SAAVA) and the Tenant Farmers Forum which could make disputes between tenants and landowners easier and cheaper to resolve.  The Short-form arbitration process should enable differences to be settledwithout legal intervention from the Scottish Land Court.  More details can be found on the SAAVA website at – http://www.saava.org.uk.  We wrote in May about the publication of the TFFs best practice guide for the conduct of rent reviews, and the forthcoming more detailed practitioners’ guide, due to be published in the autumn.
