N Prices Drop May 22, 2015 12:00 am Some positive news for farm margins has arrived with the announcement of nitrogen fertiliser prices for the coming year. The guide on-farm price for ammonium nitrate (for June delivery) is put at £235 per tonne. This is around £20 per tonne lower than the season starting price last year. Monthly increments of £3 per tonne will apply though July and August. The fall comes about through lower raw material costs as energy prices have declined. The price of competitor products such as urea has also fallen.
