Milk Price Cuts February 1, 2016 12:00 am The start of the month has seen announcements of further farmgate milk price cuts. First Milk is to reduce the price in three of its pools from the 1st February. Farmers supplying under a Midlands or East Wales contract will face a 0.62ppl reduction in their ‘A’ price. Those in the Scottish balancing pool will see a 0.19ppl reduction. At the same time Dairy Crest has announced a cut in the price paid to its Davidstow farmers. A reduction of 1.6ppl will be effective from the 1st March.
