MEPs Rejects GM Import Ban

A large majority of MEPs have voted against the EU Commission’s plans to allow Member States to impose national bans on the import of GM food and feed.  557 of the 652 votes were cast against the plans in a move that has been welcomed by industry groups, farm lobbies and environmental NGO’s.
