Insect Farming

A new pan-European group has been formed to promote the use of insects in farming.  The ‘International Platform of Insects for Food and Feed’ (IPIFF) aims to promote the use of protein derived from this source, firstly as a feed for animals and fish, but eventually directly for humans.  The group will lobby for EU rules to be revised to allow easier access to markets for food and feed from insects.  For more information see – www.ipiff.org
