Hedge & Tree Cutting Derogation

June 14, 2016 12:00 am

Farmers are reminded that the hedge and tree cutting & trimming ban extends until the end of August.  But if oilseed rape or temporary grassland is to be sown in August, it is possible to apply to the RPA to request a derogation.  Requests should be e-mailed to the RPA at [email protected] with the subject title ‘Cross Compliance Derogation’ or by post to RPA, PO Box 352, Worksop, S809FG.  Include business name and SBI, field parcel number(s) or map showing sections of hedge or location of trees to be trimmed.  Cutting should not start until written confirmation has been received; get derogation requests in early to allow time for confirmation to come through.
