Haulage Costs 2014

The average cost of transporting grain is £8.43 per tonne according to the AHDB / HGCA’s UK Grain Haulage Survey 2014. The survey showed average journey costs has reduced by 1.2% compared to the previous year.  But whilst costs for short journey’s decline, the price of longer-distance hauls actually rose.  The full survey can be found via – http://www.hgca.com/markets/survey-results.aspx
