Glastir Small Grants Scheme June 14, 2016 12:00 am Welsh Cabinet Secretary for the Environment & Rural Affairs, Lesley Griffiths has announced the new Glastir Small Grants Scheme will open for its first round of Expressions of Interest on 27th June. The pilot scheme will provide grants of up to £5,000 for capital works to; Reduce carbon emissions Improve water quality Reduce flood risks Increase native biodiversity The first round will concentrate on projects to reduce carbon emissions such as; small woodland & tree planting and hedgerow creation & restoration. In the first round of applications, £1.5m will be available for projects; the scheme is competitive. Expressions of Interest must be submitted online through RPWonline. Deadline for applications is 29th July 2016.
