French Farm Aid July 23, 2015 12:00 am The French Government has announced a support package for its farming industry claimed to be worth up to €600m. The measures are mainly designed to deal with cashflow pressure caused by falling market prices. They include tax exemptions and deferrals, debt write-offs, reliefs and restructuring, and loan guarantees. The support is to be targeted at the livestock and dairy sectors. It comes after farmer protests blocked main roads around major towns and cities.
