Fracking in Yorkshire

Fracking looks set to go ahead in North Yorkshire.  North Yorkshire County Council has approved plans, for the controversial method of producing gas, at a site near Kirby Misperton, Ryedale.  The County Council voted 7-4 in favour of Third Energy’s application to extract shale gas.  Opposition groups are expected to try and get a judcial review of the decision.
