Food Enterprise Zones

Grants of up to £50,000 will be available to set up Food Enterprise Zones in a new DEFRA initiative.  The Zones aim to attract new business and encourage food and farming businesses to grow by simplifying the planning process.  Currently 11 FEZs are proposed these are; Somerset, South Downs, Cornwall, Cumbria, Worcestershire, Leicestershire, Cheshire, West Sussex and three in Lincolnshire.
