Farming Strategy Delayed March 24, 2016 12:00 am The long-awaited 25-year Strategy for Food and Farming is unlikely to be published before the summer. A senior DEFRA Civil Servant has indicated that it will not be released until after the referendum on EU membership of the 23rd June. The thinking it that any decision for ‘Brexit’ would fundamentally alter the assumptions underlying any Strategy and could render it redundant.
