Double Funding Clarification October 7, 2014 12:00 am Following the release of the ‘Double Funding and Environmental Stewardship Agreements’ Q & A from DEFRA we had stated that those affected by Environmental Stewardship payment reduction would not face the reductions if they were exempt from the Ecological Focus Area requirements. However we have now received clarificationfrom Natural England. Only those who have less than 15 Ha of arable land will be unaffected by the payment reductions. In other words, those exempt from EFA because they have more then 75% grassland and less than 30 Ha of arable land will still face the ELS/OELS payment reductions. Apologies for any confusion.
