DairyCo Consultancy for Farmers January 15, 2015 12:00 am Dairy farmers who are struggling financially due to the current low milk prices will be able to receive some free consultancy. The levy board DairyCo has announced it is funding a half-day one-to-one visit with a consultant to draw up a full cash-flow with profit and loss account and balance sheet, together with follow-up reports and recommendations for use with lenders. The support is being offered in light of the current market situation. It has been designed by a number of consultants, banks and industry leaders to help levy payers understand what is happening to their business finances so they can approach lenders and others if necessary. To access the support farmers must meet the following qualifying criteria: Be a DairyCo levy payer in GB i.e. producing milk in England, Scotland or Wales Be about to experience a sudden reduction in business income Be one of the following; At risk of not being able to pay bills About to reach their borrowing limit Have no idea of their current position because they do not have a cash flow or a budget Qualifying farmers will be able to choose from a list of consultants available in their area.
