Dairy Strategy April 18, 2013 12:00 am The NFU has urged the industry to adopt a clear strategy to develop the sector. To this end it has issued a discussion document. ‘A Strategy for the British Dairy Industry’ was launched during the recent NFU Conference. The idea is to bring together the whole industry and to deliver a working strategy at the Livestock Event in July. It has not gone un-noticed that the Irish have an integrated strategy that aims to increase milk production by 50%, whilst the UK industry continues to seem divided and have no overall plan for growth.
