CAP Reform Timetable May 24, 2013 12:00 am There is nothing very substantive to report on CAP reform as yet. The ‘trialogue’ meetings (see March Bulletin) between the EU Commission, EU Parliament and Farm Council (Farm Ministers) continue. The stated aim is still to get an agreement before the end of June when the Irish Presidency of the EU comes to a close. The Farm Council meeting which starts on the 24th June is being seen as crucial to acheiving a deal. If the parties cannot hammer out a compromise at this point, any agreement is likely to slip some months well into the autumn. We will provide updates as soon as anything is known.
