CAP Money Cut October 23, 2014 12:00 am The European Commission has amended its 2015 budget (not unusual), this includes moving €448.5 million from the €44.93bn CAP budget. This has raised concerns particularly with the growing compensation bill for those affected by the Russian Ban, €344m has already been used up from the €433m allocated. If continued support is required or the situation worsens more money will need to be found from somewhere. There has been concerns that this money would come out of the pot set aside for direct payments (BPS) however this seems fairly unlikely.
