BPS Payment Deadline Extended June 9, 2016 12:00 am The EU Commission has extended the deadline for making 2015 BPS payments. Normally, all money must be issued to farmers by the 30th June, otherwise the national government faces fines. However, in light of the difficulties faced by a number of Member States in issuing payments (including England and Scotland, but also Romania and France) the deadline has been moved to the 15th October. Although perhaps not making too much practical difference at farm level, it may take some of the pressure off paying agencies and therefore lead to even longer delays for those waiting for their 2015 BPS.
