Arla to Supply Starbucks May 21, 2013 12:00 am All milk used in the UK Starbucks coffee shops will now be Cravendale milk from Arla’s Hatfield and Stourton plants. Previously the contract, reported to be in the region of 16m litres (although not confirmed), was supplied by Dairy Crest. Starbucks has said it has decided to change to Cravendale because it will get ‘fantastic quality milk’ and, as Arla is a farmer-owned co-operative, it meets with its commitments to support British farmers. According to Cravendale the milk is suited to coffee making because of the way the milk foams. There are no plans to advertise to customers that it is using Cravendale or for co-branding. The switch does not apply to other licensed Starbucks such as those at train stations etc.
