About 1,300 Arla Foods Milk Partnership (AFMP) farmers had signed up to become co-owners of the Arla Foods Amba by the deadline.  Producers had until of 15th November (see article /livestock/arla-co-op-offer/)  to return their contracts.  Approximately 1,600 were intitially given the chance to opt for co-ownership, of the remainder it is reported the majority have signed a direct supply contract with the Arla.

In more good news for Arla, its giant Aylesbury liquid milk plant has begun operation.  The first deliveries from the 1bn litres per year facility were made on the 25th November.
