Agriculutral Wages Board

The Agricultural Wages Board in England and Wales will now definitely cease operation from 1st October 2013.  The Enterprise andRegulatory Reform Act 2013 which abolished the Board, received Royal Assent on 25th April 2013.  With the end of AWB, farm workers will only be subject to standard National Minimum Wage legislation.  It was announced this month that the rates as from 1st October 2013 will rise 1.9% to £6.31 per hour.  Full details can be found at – https://www.gov.uk/national-minimum-wage-rates.
