AD FiT Review June 14, 2016 12:00 am Support of Anaerobic Digestion (AD) could be cut severely under plans proposed by the government. The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has released a consultation on future support under the Feed in Tariff (FIT) regime for AD. Among other changes, this is proposing that, from January 2017; removing FIT support completely for facilities above 500kW a further reduction in FITs for plants up to 500kW restricting FIT payments to electricity generated from wastes and residues only (i.e. not from crops such as maize or ryegrass).
