2015 potato crop December 14, 2015 12:00 am Potato production in Great Britain will fall by 5.5% for the 2015 season compared to 2014. This is according to the latest estimates produced by AHDB Potatoes. The planted area has fallen by 8%; down to a revised 111,400 Ha. However, higher yields at a forecast 48.8 tonnes per hectate have partly offset reduced plantings. Total production is put at 5.43 million tonnes, some 2% below the five-year avearage.
