12 Farmers Recieve Welsh Grant

A number of concerns have been raised around the slow pace of the Rural Development Programme roll-out in Wales.  One that has cause the biggest stir is the Sustainable Production Grant.   270 farmers submitted an Expression of Interest to the scheme which grants aid of £16,000 to £200,000 to cover 40% of the cost of farm facilities and equipment; just 12 farmers were awarded funding.
